If you work for the government or in the private sector, you should be aware of the UAN number. The UAN (Universal Account Number) was introduced by the Employer Provident Fund Organization and is assigned to any employer that contributes to EPF. EPFO (Employer Provident Fund Organization) assigns you a new Member ID each time you change jobs. Regardless of how many jobs you change, the UAN number allocated to you remains the same. You will start the process of closing your old accounts and transferring the remaining balance with your UAN number. But what if I've misplaced my UAN number? Are you thinking about how to get uan number? Don't worry, you can still use the UAN Portal to recover your forgotten UAN number.
